Rovio Entertainment

Rovio Entertainment Ltd.. (short Rovio ) is a Finnish computer game company. Large became famous for the company with the release of the game Angry Birds.

History

The company was founded in 2003 under the name Relude and renamed in 2005 in Rovio Mobile. The big breakthrough came in 2009, when Rovio released the Angry Birds game. The game has been downloaded distributed worldwide on all available platforms over two billion times.

In 2011, the IPO and renamed Rovio Entertainment Ltd. followed. Meanwhile, the value of the company is estimated at over one billion U.S. dollars. In March 2012, Rovio took over the development studio Futuremark Games Studio of 3D benchmark Futuremark manufacturer.

In July 2012, the game Amazing Alex has been released for iOS and Android, which has topped the list of best-selling apps in less than 24 hours. It is about a curious boy, who is confronted with increasingly difficult challenges. It depends on the interplay of objects which collects Alex in the course of the game.
