Roxio Creator

Creator is a known CD / DVD burning program the company Roxio, a subsidiary of US-based software company Sonic Solutions. It was developed by the German company CeQuadrat, which was purchased by Adaptec 1999; Roxio was again spun off in 2001 as an independent company Adaptec, the software division was sold to Sonic Solutions 2004. Creator is in direct competition with the German Nero suite.

Only with the sale of CeQuadrat and the new edition by Roxio, the product loses its independence, as Creator version 8 is identical to the internationally marketed "Easy Media Creator " of the same version and is sold only in German-speaking countries as " Creator ".
