Rozwadza

Rozwadza ( German Roswadze ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Rozwadza located in the municipality Zdzieszowice ( Deschowitz ) in Krapkowicki powiat ( county Krappitz ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Rozwadza is located three kilometers north- west of the parish seat Zdzieszowice eleven kilometers east of the county town of Krapkowice ( Krappitz ) and 29 kilometers southeast of the Opole voivodship.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1282. 1302 was followed by a further mention of the name Rosvatzha and Rozwadze.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 486 ​​voters voted to remain in Germany and 313 for Poland, in Gutsbezirk voted 56 for Germany and 27 for Poland. Roswadze remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Rozwadza and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Krapkowicki.
