Rubén Castro Martín (* June 27, 1981 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Liga Real Betis in the Primera.

Playing career

Rubén Castro began his career as a professional footballer at UD Las Palmas, the largest club of his hometown of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Although he was División with 22 goals this season 2003/ 04 top scorer in the Segunda, his team was relegated from the Segunda División B in. It was followed by the change to the first division club Deportivo La Coruña. However, the Galicians awarded him in his first season straight on (Albacete at the Erstligakonkurrenten Balompié ). There, too, he could show pleasing performance.

For the 2005/06 season he returned to " Depor ", where he was able to achieve three goals in 24 games. In 2006 he was awarded again, this time at Racing Santander. With four goals in 20 games, he could not help to avoid relegation the club. For the season 2007/ 08, the third return to Deportivo followed. After the first round but he came only six league games in which he scored a goal.

In summer 2010, Castro joined Real Betis in the Segunda División. With the Andalusians, he scored in the 2010/11 season 27 goals and went immediately to the Primera División. In the 2011/12 season he showed himself accurately in the first division with 16 goals in 34 games and reached prematurely Betis in the league. In the season 2012/13 he came in another 34 games on 18 goals and qualified with Betis for the UEFA Europa League 2013 / 14th
