Rucker Park

The Rucker Park is a basketball court in New York's Harlem, which has acquired thereby a certain notoriety that many later known professional basketball players, including some NBA players who have played there. History

The square was named after the New York Teacher Holocombe L. Rucker, the 1947 basketball tournament held at this location. He used basketball as an educational tool to teach the children and managed to give 700 young people the opportunity to complete a college degree program on a basketball scholarship.
