The regulator Biel is 756 m above sea level. NHN high mountains of the Thuringian Slate Mountains in the district Saalfeld- Rudolstadt, Thuringia ( Germany ).

It is located west of the community in the light of Thuringian Forest Nature Park. Neighboring mountains are the cock mountain ( 686 m), the rough hill ( 801.9 m), the Mittelberg ( 803.6 m) and the Mutzenberg (770 m ) in the east and the Apelsberg (780 m ) in the west.

The regulator Biel is an extension of Hettstädt massif. It is mainly covered by coniferous forest.
