Rudkøbing is the capital of the island community Langeland (Denmark).
The village with 4547 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) is the administrative seat of Langeland municipality in the region Syddanmark. Before the Danish administrative reform on 1 January 2007, he was the administrative seat of the municipality Rudkøbing in the former County of Funen. Rudkøbing is a port city with a fishery, a commercial and a marina and a ferry dock, run from the ferries to the neighboring island Strynø. The ferry to Marstal Ærø was set on January 21, 2013.
