Marstal a Danish town on the southeastern tip of the island Ærø is located. Since 1 January 2006 Marstal belongs to the municipality of Ærø, before that it was the administrative seat of the municipality Marstal in the former County of Funen. Since the administrative reform on 1 January 2007 the municipality belongs to Region Syddanmark. In Marstal lived on 1 January 2013 2370 inhabitants.

Marstal is a port and is home to a maritime school. Partly because of this commonality is twinned with Elsfleth was decided on 13 January 1999, which also has a maritime school.
