Rugby Viadana

Rugby Viadana ( called from Arix Viadana sponsorship reasons ) is an Italian rugby union club based in Viadana in the province of Mantua. He plays in the highest Italian League Super 10 home games will be played at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella. Viadana has been a time champion and three-time Cup winner.

History

The club was founded in 1970 by some former Parma players, initially as a department of the sports club Vitellianense Cebogas. Viadana began in Serie D, the lowest league. 1981 succeeded in promotion to Serie B in 1987 in the A2 series. In 1989, Viadana off again, but managed in 1993 the renewed rise in the A2 series. This was due to Tana Umaga in particular, the later New Zealand superstar who played at the beginning of his career during a season in Italy.
