Matt Phillips
Matthew " Matt" Phillips (born 13 March 1991 Aylesbury ) is a Scottish -born in England football player who is under contract with the English first division side Queens Park Rangers since 2013. Since 2012 he is also active for the Scottish national team.
Career
Wycombe Wanderers
Matt Phillips made his debut on April 26, 2008 for the English fourth division Wycombe Wanderers in a 0-1 away defeat against Notts County. Already in the 2008/ 09 season, the 17 -year-old established himself as a regular player in the fourth division and reached Wycombe in third place promotion to the third division. As a third of the Last Football League One 2009/10 Phillips rose ( 36 league games / 5 goals) with his team right back in the Football League Two from.
Blackpool FC
On 31 August 2010 Matt Phillips joined the English Erstligaaufsteiger FC Blackpool and played barely a month later, his Erstligadebüt. In the 1-2 home defeat against Blackburn Rovers Phillips scored immediately after coming off the bench in the 84th minute the first goal for his team. In total he played 27 league games (2 matches ) for Blackpool but had to play at season's end as a table next to last the course in the second division. On 14 October 2011 Phillips moved on loan to third division Sheffield United, where he scored five goals in six league games. After his return to Blackpool less than a month later, he became a performer in the Football League Championship 2011 /12. 26 December 2011 in a 3-1 away win over FC Barnsley him scoring a hat -trick. With his team he reached the end of the season the play-off final, lost this game but with 1:2 against West Ham United. Matt Phillips was chosen for its good performance in the PFA Team of the Year the second division.
National
With the England team Phillips took part in the U-19 European Football Championships 2010 in France in July 2010. In the third group match he scored in injury time equalizer against the hosts, but failed in the subsequent semi-final with his team at Spain. In August 2011, he played four games at the U -20 World Cup 2011 in Colombia, before he failed in England in the second round to Nigeria.
26 May 2012 Phillips made his debut in a 1:5 defeat in the U.S. for the Scottish national team.
