Rune Høydahl

Rune Høydahl Christopher ( born December 10, 1969 in Drammen, Norway) is a Norwegian mountain biker and triathlete.

In mountain bike Høydahl gained eleven World Cup victories and was three times second in the overall World Cup. In Cross Country Høydahl won at the 1996 World Championships silver medal. Høydahl that time was the first who succeeded in obtaining World Cup victories in downhill and cross country. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta Høydahl started for Norway in cross country mountain biking. Mountain bike in 1996 was the first time an Olympic discipline. Høydahl was ranked 11th at the Olympic Summer Games 2000 Høydahl was back there, but the goal is not reached.

In 2004 Hoydahl Norseman Xtreme Triathlon won the second, but he improved the record time by well over 1 hour at 11:30:08 hours.

Høydahl lives in the sand, not far south of his birthplace Drammen.
