Running Mates (film)

The nomination ( Running Mates ) is an American comedy film directed by Ron Lagomarsino from the year 2000.

Action

The Governor James Reynolds Pryce is running for the office of the U.S. president and is considered the most promising candidate of his party. His campaign manager Lauren Hartman already has been working together with him. She is not afraid to harass a politician on the men's room if they do not answer their calls. Lauren had a relationship with Pryce before he married Jenny.

Shawna Morgan - who was also formerly with Pryce together - gives him contacts in the media world and brings it together with the donors.

Pryce has to decide whether the Senator Terrence Randall or Senator Mitchell Morris to run for vice president. Hartman preferred Randall and can be spread in the media, Pryce was against Morris.

The party meeting nominated Pryce with a big vote lead. Morris receives more votes than minimal Randall Hartman although attempts to prevent this. Pryce announced Hartman that he had opted for Morris. Hartman was dismissed.

Reviews

Mary Ann Johanson called the film in " Flick Filosopher " than a "nice fantasy " ( "nice fantasy" ). He was " a little flat " ( "a little flat" ). The satire was " unintentional " - the movie show " cynical " and " realistic " that women in politics have a lower position than men.

Awards

Faye Dunaway was nominated in 2001 for a Golden Globe Award. The film won the 2001 Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award and was nominated in another category for the same price.
