Rupert Penry-Jones
Rupert Penry -Jones ( born September 22, 1970 in London, England ) is a British actor. His parents, Angela Thorne and Peter Penry -Jones as well as his brother Laurence Penry -Jones is also an actor.
Life and career
Rupert Penry -Jones attended the Bristol Old Vic and was part of the ensemble of the Royal Shakespeare Company. For his role of Don Carlos Penry -Jones was awarded the Ian Charleson Award. In 1994 he made his debut in front of the camera on the side of Rutger Hauer and Miranda Richardson in the fatherland. With his mother Angela Thorne Penry -Jones played together in 1995 in the TV movie Cold Comfort Farm.
In the following years he performed in various television productions. 2001 Penry -Jones played alongside Cate Blanchett in the melodrama The Charlotte Gray and 2002 with Heath Ledger in the period drama The Four Feathers. From 2004 to 2008 he represented the agent Adam Carter in the British television series Spooks - In sight of the MI5. 2005 was Penry -Jones can be seen in Woody Allen's film Match Point. 2007 was followed by an appearance in the film Jane Austen's Persuasion
Since 2009 he has seen in the crime drama Whitechapel as Detective Inspector Joseph Chandler and since 2011 in the drama series Silk as Clive Reader.
Rupert Penry -Jones is Private married actress Dervla Kirwan with the Irish, with whom he has two children.
