Rusava

Rusava, until 1924 Rotálovice ( German Rusava ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Bystřice pod Hostynem and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

The area enclosed by forests scattered settlement extends into the Host One of mountains in the area of the nature park Hostýnské mountains in the upper valley of the valley and its tributary Rusava Ráztoka. To the north of Nad Pasekami rise ( 588 m), Bukovina ( 657 m) and the Hostýnské ( 734 m), in the northeast of the Skalny (708 m) and Obřany (704 m ) east of the Kyčera (757 m), Bečka ( 705 m ), Na Šarmance ( 725 m), Pardus ( 672 m) and Kotar ( 556 m), in the southeastern Kuželek ( 638 m ) south of the Ondřejovsko (632 m), the Hrubá Malíková (564 m) and the Chochol ( 578 m) in the southwest of Javorčí (630 m) and the Poschlá ( 629 m ) and west of the Barvínek ( 571 m).

History

This Gau belonging to the Slavic grad Hostýnské upper Rusavatal in the Host One mountains was inhabited during the Early Middle Ages. However, the settlements went out again. The first written mention of the desert villages Gencze ( Jence ) Gestrzebie ( Jestřebí ) Antiqualhota ( Stara Lhota ) and Wysokalhota ( Vysoká Lhota ) was carried out in 1372 by a provision of Margrave Jan Heinrich over the goods of the castle Obřany. These were with the exception of today belonging to Chvalčov Wüstung Jence or Janče the corridors of the church today Rusava. The desertions Lhota Wysoka and Lhota Stara were again mentioned in 1466 in connection with the desert castle Křídlo.

At the beginning of the 16th century Wallachian shepherds put individual Salaschen in the long reconquered from the forest valley. During the Thirty Years' War, the valley served as a refuge Wallachian Protestants against the imperial troops.

The foundation of the present-day village was carried out in a document issued on April 23, 1657 at Castle Holešov certificate by the Moravian Captain Johann Anton von Rottalblick. The first inhabitants of Rottalowice mentioned settlement were freed six years of any Fronleistungen and fees. After this period, an annual tax of four guilders and 30 cruisers in the rule Bystřice pod Hostynem and during harvest time, a three-day Robot in the yard Holešov were due from each property. After the abolition of patrimonial Rotalovice / Rusava formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Holešov. In 1855 for the first time, named after the brook place name Rusala was used. During this time, the road of Brusné arose after Ráztoka. Today's local name Rusava is the first time in 1872 and was subsequently detected using parallel named Rotálovice. 1875 took in Ráztoka a steam mill to operate on, it burned from 1884. Another fire in 1885 destroyed the Češek mill. In 1924 Rusava was declared a municipality name. During the German occupation operated in the municipality first partisan detachments of the Green Team and later the brigade Žižka of Trocnov. In 1960, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Kroměříž. Rusava is a resort today. In the corridors there are 600 cottages and ten major recreation facilities. At the southern part of the village, there is a heated outdoor pool. The community performs a coat of arms and banners.

Personalities

  • Daniel Sloboda (1809-1888), the botanist worked 51 years as an evangelical pastor in Rusava. His grave is in the local cemetery.
