Russell Tovey

Russell Tovey ( born November 14, 1981 in Essex, England ) is an English actor who works for television, films, theater and radio plays.

Biography

Tovey began his acting career as a child. He grew up in Billericay in Essex, where he received his first acting classes at Shenfield High School by actor Ralph Morse.

His television career began in 1994 at the BBC, when he appeared in the British children's series Mud. In 2004 he played the role of Rudge in Alan Bennett's drama The History Boys - Learning for life at London's National Theatre and led the play on Broadway and then in Sydney, Wellington and Hong Kong on. He played the same role in the film adaptation of the same name and a BBC radio play. Then, his reputation grew in the UK because of appearances in television series such as Messiah (2005), Doctor Who (2007, 2010), Annually Retentive (2007 ) Being Human (2008-2013) and Little Dorrit (2008). In the fantasy series Being Human, Tovey embodied four seasons on the werewolf George. The series was also successful internationally, so that the transmitter Syfy since 2011 sends an adaptation of the series in the United States.
