Life

Early years and career as an actress

Ruta Mary Kilmonis was born as a child of two Lithuanian immigrants in Montreal. Her father worked as a tailor, her mother a housewife. In 1948 the family moved to Los Angeles, where she in 1954, the North Hollywood High School graduating.
