Ruth Mader

Ruth Mader (born 11 July 1974 in Vienna) is an Austrian film director, writer and producer.

Mader studied directing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and then worked as an assistant director and casting in the area. Her film Gfrasta won the 1999 Max Ophüls Prize in the short film category. Her next short film zero deficit brought her an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival in 2001, where he was shown in the official selection Cinéfondation. Her first feature film was taken Struggle Film Festival back in the official selection of the Cannes premiere and had 2003 in the category "Un Certain Regard ".
