Rycerka Dolna

Rycerka Dolna is a village in the municipality Rajcza powiat in Żywiec in Silesia.

Geography

Rycerka Dolna is located in the south of the city Westbeskiden Żywiec. The town stretches along with the Rycerka Gorna over 14 kilometers in the valley of the Czarna Soła and Rycerka between the massifs of Mała Zabawa, Hutyrow and Łysica.

Through the town flows the Czarna Soła, which flows into the Rycerka in the locality.

History

The first settlements were created in the 17th century. In 1628 there were 19 houses in Rycerka. Around the year 1870, the town expanded towards the south, there arose the settlements Rycerka Gorna and Kolonia. Completed in 1884, railway line Żywiec Čadca (SK) and the construction of the station Rycerka caused an expansion in the north. 143 families (about 700 people ) in 1940 were resettled action under the Saybusch. The growing town was divided into Gorna and Dolna Rycerka.
