Ryō Miyaichi (Japanese宫 市 亮, Ryo Miyaichi, born December 14, 1992 Okazaki ) is a Japanese football player who is under contract at Arsenal since January 2011.

Career

Early life

Ryō Miyaichi comes from a sporting family, his father is a former baseball player and his brother Tsuyoshi also football players. He started playing football when Sylphid FC in Nagoya in his elementary school. In 2008, he came up with the members of the Chūkyō University Chuyko High School, where he played for the school team. 2010, his team managed to reach the national high school championships, but retired in the first round.

Miyaichi played for Japan's U-17 national team and completed two matches in the U-17 World Cup in 2009 against Switzerland and against Mexico.

On May 23, 2012, he graduated in a friendly against Azerbaijan to be senior international debut.

Others

The Dutch media gave Miyaichi nicknamed " Ryodinho " based on the Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho. He also called the " Japanese Messi ".
