Rıza Tevfik Bölükbaşı

Riza Tevfik Bölükbaşı (* 1869 in Svilengrad, Bulgaria, † 1949 in Istanbul ) was a Turkish politician, philosopher, poet and one of the leaders of the Bektashi community.

Bölükbaşı closed in 1897 to study medicine ab.Riza Tevik Bölükbaşı was in 1918, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Turkey. In 1918 he became Minister of Education, and in 1919 he was for a short time President of the Constitutional Court. In 1920 Bölükbaşı was a member of the Turkish delegation and co-signer of the Treaty of Sèvres. In 1922 he was sent into exile abroad. In 1943 he was pardoned and allowed to return to Turkey.
