Listen Rzyszczewo? / I ( German Ristow, Schlawe ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Sławno ( Schlawe ) in the powiat Slawienski.

Geographical location

The street village Rzyszczewo with the district Rzyszczewko ( New Ristow ) is located in Eastern Pomerania, five kilometers west of Sławno. The northern boundary of the town is the river of Moszczenica ( Pimp ). The neighboring municipalities are: in the west Karwice, in the north Bolszewo ( Rötzenhagen ), to the east Bobrowice (Alt Bewersdorf ) and in the south Smardzewo ( Schmarsow ). The altitude of the area is 45 meters above sea level.

Name

Previously the name was in use Alt Ristow, in contrast to the district of New Ristow and Ristow small place in the 24 km south community Bukowo ( Buckow, Schlawe ). The village name is also used in Belgarder circle in front ( = Rzyszczewo ).

History

In the war between the dukes of Western and Eastern Pomerania West Pomeranian Knights come into the Schlawer country and settle there. Among them is Gneomar Dobeschitz, had not heard the Kummerow, Regenwalde. He founded Kummerow ( Komorowo ) in southern Schlawe. His eldest son John called de Ristow. The family of Ristow goes back to him. Their descendants are called by Natzmer, Ristow remains in their hands until 1673. Under the ownership of those grape, which also Karwitz and Quatzow belong, it comes to rest of New Ristow.

Ristow always belonged to the most important villages of the district at the old east-west road. 1784 belong to the village three outworks, a water mill, a brickyard, two sheepfolds, nine farmers, three Kossäten and a blacksmith shop, a total of 35 fireplaces.

Change after 1804, the owner of the goods: The family of Steinkeller follow the families of Bonin, von Mellenthin and Gloxin. Last owner was born Dorothea Bloedorn Gloxin.

In 1939 the district had Ristow size of 1357.1 hectares with a population of 412 inhabitants in 104 households. Last municipality mayor before 1945 was Eduard Schröder.

On March 7, 1945 the Red Army troops occupied the village. The local population was expelled. Ristow was in Polish hands and was as Rzyszczewo a municipality Sławno.

District Ristow

The three municipalities Ristow, Rötzenhagen ( Boleszewo ) and Schmarsow ( Smardzewo ) formed before 1945 the District Ristow in the district Schlawe i Pom. in the district of the Prussian province of Pomerania Pomerania. Ristow was also the location of the registry office of the three communities. District court area was Schlawe.

Church

Parish

The church (old) Ristow, in the New Ristow and Schmarsow were the parish, formed together with the filial community Rötzenhagen the parish Ristow, which belonged to the church Schlawe in the church of the Evangelical Church of Pomerania Old Prussian Union.

In 1273 the patronage of the church was handed over to Ristow from Camminer bishop Hermann von Gleichen the Order of St. John in Schlawe. This patronage had before 1945 the manor last owner Dorothea Bloedorn held.

For parish Ristow were 1940 total 1222 church members, of which 734 belonged to the area Ristow.

Today Rzyszczewo is a branch congregation in the Catholic parish Malechowo and belongs to the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Sławno of the Catholic Church in Poland. Here surviving Protestant church members are assigned to the parish Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.

Parish Church

The creation time of the Ristower church is expected to be in the 13th century, and with the massive western tower in brick on field stone base, one of the oldest churches in Schlawe at all. Over time, there have been numerous modifications to the tower and nave.

Inside, the walls were whitewashed. Altar and pulpit were connected. The retable was decorated with bas-reliefs of the 16th century. During renovation work in the 70s of the 20th century under the altar to have been found a previously unknown tomb.

In 1945, the church was used as a stable for the horses of the Russian military. The interior was destroyed. Nevertheless, the remaining Ristow in and around 1945 Germans used the building for worship.

The two-class elementary school was newly built in 1932 and burned in the last days of the war from. The former school building was pub. The number of students was between 30 and 40 Last headmaster was Frietz Dietrich.

Traffic

The village is located on the highway 6, also Europe 28, Szczecin - Gdańsk. The railway line Stargard - Gdansk runs through the northern part of the municipality. Nearest railway stations are Karwice ( Karwitz ) and Sławno.
