S Club

S Club 7 (later S Club ) was a British pop band.

History

S Club 7 was founded in 1998 and Simon Fuller, who had previously helped the Spice Girls to their success, became their manager.

Tina Barrett (born 1976 ), Paul Cattermole ( b. 1977 ), Jon Lee ( b. 1982 ), Bradley McIntosh ( born 1981 ), Jo O'Meara ( b. 1979 ), Hannah Spearritt ( b. 1981 ) and Rachel Stevens (born 1978 ) formed the band that not only sang and danced, but also had her own television series. Content of the series is the attempt of the seven young Britons, with their music in the U.S. to have success.

Barely a year after the establishment of the group was the first season of the TV series S Club sent from spring 1999 7 in Miami and released their debut album S Club in October. It appeared Bring It All Back, S Club Party and Two in a Million / You ' re My Number One as singles, all of which were among the top 10 in the UK. Bring It All Back even was number 1 and made it into the charts at # 6

Mid-2000 was followed by the album 7 and the second season entitled S Club 7 in LA. From this plate two more UK Top 10 hits were with Reach and Natural decoupled.

Beginning of 2001, S Club 7 could actually look through a number 10 in the U.S. charts with the title Never Had a Dream Come True, who became her second number - one hit in the UK charts. It should, however, remain their only success in the United States.

In spring 2001, S Club 7 first went on tour and the third season, this time as Hollywood 7 aired on TV. In May 2001, they were able to secure for the third time with Do not Stop Movin ' a number 1 in the UK charts and recorded their second top 10 hit in Germany. In November 2002 they released their next album Seeing Double, which was much more danceable and more mature, under the name S Club. However, it missed the Top 10 and finished only 17th place The resulting single from the Alive reached number 5 in the UK though, but it was for the group until then worst position in the British charts.

The fourth season under the motto Viva S Club followed and in 2003 appeared the first film Seeing Double. From the beginning of 2003 S Club went for the third time on tour.

End of April 2003 gave the members of their official separation known.

End of May, the last single was released as a double A-side Say Goodbye / Love Is not Gonna Wait for You, with the group again took a second place in the UK charts. A week later, the hit compilation appeared Best - The Greatest Hits of S Club 7

Solo careers

Rachel Stevens is working on her solo career and brought within three years, two albums (Funky Dory in 2003 and Come And Get It 2005) out. In November 2004 she took Do They Know It 's Christmas? by Band Aid 20.

Jo O'Meara released her first album Relentless in autumn 2005. After she ended her career in mid-2006, she participated in the British edition of Celebrity Big Brother in January 2007.

Jon Lee, who had been to musicals, such as The Famous Five - Smuggler 's Gold - had been to see The Musical (1997), seemed to S Club 7 again in various musicals such as Les Miserables, Love Shack and Notes from New York.

Hannah Spearritt landed roles as an actress in Seed of Chucky and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London with Frankie Muniz. She also played a starring role in the TV series Primeval, which was shown in Germany from June 2007 to July 2011 on ProSieben.

Paul Cattermole rock band changed its name to Charlie Bullitt.

Bradley McIntosh formed with four other former Boyband-/Popband-Mitgliedern the group Upper Street.

Tina Barrett withdrew first from the public gaze, but in 2010 started a solo career as a musician.

Reunion

Since October 2008, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara and Paul Cattermole tours as S Club 3 by English and Irish nightclubs. They also played their greatest success title.

After Tina Barrett had announced in November 2011 on Twitter that a reunion of the band would be possible, it was in March 2012, first confirming reports of a tour and an album.
