Saalschutz

Saalschutz is a Zurich electropop band, who describes her own style as " Rave - Punk".

History

After a split EP with Knarf Rellöm at Rewika Records in 2003, followed in 2004 by This Is Not My Problem, the first album in zigzag Records. Saalschutz combined electronic dance music with mostly German-speaking, rare English, French or Swiss German, often Dadaist texts and chanting. Here are elements of synthpop, electro punk and electroclash - but also about the metal, garage rock, Tribal House and Trance - woven into a style that about with Knarf Rellöm, den of thieves, and partly also Egotronic can be compared. The music magazine Spex ruled on the board: " To cry. For loved ones. To give up smoking. To ultimately stay tuned. "In 2006 also came in zigzag and the Hamburg label Audiolith Records the second regular album Saalschutz makes it possible out. After extensive touring and numerous DJ sets followed in October 2010, the third album "Either Saalschutz ".

The duo does without explicit political opinions expressed in the lyrics, but participates in initiatives such as I Can not Relax in Germany and Rage against deportation.
