Sabine (crater)

Sabine is an impact crater on the lunar front side at the edge of the Sea of ​​Tranquility, southeast of the crater knight. The crater floor is uneven, the inner crater wall are traces of extensive landslides.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Irish astronomer Edward Sabine. Approximately 85 km to the southeast was in 1969 with Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing place.
