Ritter is an impact crater on the Earth's moon near the southwestern edge of the Sea of ​​Tranquility. It forms the southeastern crater Sabine a crater pair. The edges of the crater are separated only by a narrow valley with a few kilometers wide. Knight is approximately circular, but shows an irregular outer edge. The interior walls are slipped towards the crater floor. In the crater interior, several low hills rise.

To the northwest is the crater Dionysius and north-northeast you can see the crater Arago and Manners.

Located northwest of the crater lies a knight running in a north-westerly direction system of parallel grooves, called after the crater as Rimae knight.
