Saerom Park

Saerom Park (born 23 June 1981) is a South Korean cellist.

Saerom parks musical activities both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, she has already carried out throughout Europe, Asia and South Africa. She was born in 1981 as the daughter of a South Korean artist family, and began at the age of three years, her education first with the piano. Nine years later, she moved to cello. Her talent was quickly recognized. She has received awards in numerous competitions, than fifteen years, she made her debut with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra.

In 1999, Saerom Park to Germany to continue her studies at the Folkwang University, where she studied cello and chamber music at Young - Chang Cho and Andreas Reiner. Further advances were made under great influence of the renowned tutors like Bernhard Greenhouse, Boris Pergamenschikow Alexander Kniazev and Matt Haimovitz.

In 2000 Saerom Park founded the piano trio "Trio Image " with the violinist and pianist Gergana Gergova Pavlin Nechev. She was an active member of the trio to 2007. The trio worked under the " European Chamber Music Academy " (ECMA ) as well as with renowned musicians Hatto Beyerle, Shmuel Ashkenazy, Erich Höbarth, Gábor Tacásc -Nagy, Johannes Meissl, Christoph Richter and Avedis Kouyoumdjan. Trio Image was, inter alia, 3rd prize and the audience prize at the 6th International Competition "Franz Schubert and Modern Music" in Graz, Austria. In the 2005/06 season, the trio was a scholar of " Werner Richard -Carl - Dörken Foundation ".

As a passionate chamber musician Saerom occurred at various festivals, including the Festival of Chamber Music curls house, " Pablo Casals Festival Prades ," " Schubertiade Akzenbrugg ", " International Cello Festival Beograd ", " International Week of Graz ", " Festival de musique de chambre de Normandie "," International Music Festival Varna Summer ", where she played with great artists such as Claude Frank, Joseph Silverstein, Vladimir Mendelssohn, and Michel Strauss.

Saerom Park lives in Germany and works as a solo cellist of the ensemble response.
