Safet Sušić

Safet Sušić ( born April 13, 1955 in Zavidovići, SFR Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a former football player and football coach since end of December 2009 the Bosnian national football team. Its actual role players was the position of center forward. Due to his dribbling skills and good ball control he was used primarily in Paris Saint- Germain, and with the national team of Yugoslavia, but mostly as an attacking midfielder or partially as winger. Sušić was in the former Yugoslavia with Dragan Džajić as one of the best Yugoslavian player.

Career

Playing career

Sušić began his professional career in 1973 at FK Sarajevo and played 1977-1990 54 times in the former Yugoslav national football team in the midfield, scoring 21 goals. Between 1982 and 1991 he played a total of nine years at the French club Paris Saint- Germain, with whom he champion and cup winner ever again. When PSG Sušić be proved as dribbling offensive player who had a very good Pits. With a total of 343 missions and 85 goals, he was for a time as a record player at the Paris SG. Even years after the end of his career at PSG, he was hailed as a legend and enjoyed a high reputation, both for the club members and fans of the PSG, as well as the other clubs of the French Ligue 1 in the following years Sušić was named best player of all time PSG chosen. His career ended in 1992 in France at Red Star Paris.

Coaching career

Two years after its official end of playing career, he began his coaching career at the French first division club AS Cannes. After two moderate seasons, he moved to Turkey about the club İstanbulspor in which Sušić stayed a total of two years. In the following years he was at various Turkish primary and second division under contract until he received a contract on 29 December 2009 as coach of his native country Bosnia and Herzegovina. With the Bosnian national team, he has just missed qualifying in the relegation round of Euro 2012, which initially led to discussions about its continued suitability as a coach. Nevertheless, he received a contract extension by the board of NSBiH until July 2014, which means that he will lead the Bosnian national team through the qualifying round of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
