The promised Ems ( SEm ) or Sater Ems ( Frisian: Seelter Ri ) is a river in Lower Saxony, in the district of Cloppenburg.

Course

The promised Ems is created by the confluence of Marka and Ohe north of Friesoythe - Neuscharrel. The point of confluence is located just before the southern shore of the coastal channel, which passes under the promised Ems.
