Sailor (Band)

Sailor is a British pop group that has been active since 1973. Their biggest hits are A Glass of Champagne and Girls, Girls, Girls from the 1970s.

Band History

Sailor was founded in 1973 by Georg Kajanus ( born February 9, 1946 in Norway), Henry Marsh ( born December 8, 1948), Phil Pickett ( born November 19, 1946) and Grant Serpell ( born February 9, 1944) founded; first appearances the band had in 1974. Initially Sailor went with Kiki Dee and Cockney Rebel on tour. The first album and the single Sailor Traffic Jam in the Netherlands reached gold status immediately.

Achievements

1976 succeeded with Sailor A Glass of Champagne international breakthrough; the single reached number 2 in the UK and number 3 on the German charts. In the same year followed by Girls Girls Girls, reached the number 2 in the German charts and the top ten in the UK. Both were extractions from the album Trouble. Comeback

Music
