Geography

Saint -André- les -Vergers lies in the southwestern part of Greater Troyes.

History

Under the guidance of the Holy Frobert the monks of the abbey of Montier -la- Celle founded the village of Saint -André, which has then developed around the built in the 16th century church. Here there is also a portrait of with garlands of fruit and vegetables decorated fruit growers. Already at that time the village for its vegetable production and its orchards was known. The name suffix Les Vergers ( lit. The orchards ) was awarded by decree of 4 February 1919. Rights for blocking vegetable markets have existed for 28 January 1559. 20th century
