Saint-Hyacinthe Chiefs
The Chiefs de Saint- Hyacinthe ( Saint- Hyacinthe Chiefs English ) was a Canadian ice hockey team from Saint- Hyacinthe, Québec. The team played from 2001 to 2009 in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey.
History
The franchise of Beaulieu d' Acton Vale from the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League was moved in 2001 to Saint -Hyacinthe and renamed cousin de Saint- Hyacinthe. The team remained in the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League, the result of the increasing professionalization of its participants changed its name to Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey 2004. Until the financially -related resolution of the team following the 2008/ 09 season, the team changed hands several times the name and ran on as Cristal, Top Design de Saint -Hyacinthe and Chiefs. The greatest success of the Canadians was the first place after the regular season in the season 2007 /08.
