Saint Petersburg Lions was a professional basketball team from St. Petersburg in Russia.

Following the separation of organized leagues in the ULEB and leading clubs of the competitions of FIBA Europe, the team was founded in 2000 by an Italian businessman. But as the Russian Federation with its clubs, the separation did not join, the team could not compete in the highest national leagues and only played in European club competition ULEB Euro League 2000 / 01, in which, after only two wins in ten qualifying matches not the round of 16 best teams reached. Then presented the FIBA Europe competition Suproleague their competitors and with the participation of the other leading Russian teams that ousted the Lions in the Euro League, the team was disbanded after only one year.
