Sali Turan
Sali Turan ( born 1949 in Trabzon ) is a Turkish painter.
Life
Turan studied 1970-1974 at the Istanbul Ataturk Teaching Institute and from 1976 to 1981 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul. From 1978 to 1986 he taught at the universities of Istanbul University Istanbul and Marmara University, the Uludağ University in Bursa and Eskisehir art. In 1984 he was awarded his doctorate in 1985, he became a university lecturer. In 1986 he gave up his university activities in order to focus exclusively on his art can. Since then he has been active in Istanbul as a freelance artist. Between 1996 and 2001 he toured Europe and North America. Sali can only rarely shows one because he believes it would limit his freedom. Nevertheless, he could take it to a respectable level of awareness in Turkey.
