Salome is a census -designated place in La Paz County in the U.S. state of Arizona. Salome has 1690 inhabitants on an area of 71 square km. Salome is affected by U.S. Highway 60. Was founded the place in 1904 by Charles H. Pratt, his brother Ernest Pratt and Dick Wick Hall. They named the place after Charles Pratt's wife Salome, there undressed after the arrival of her shoes and had burned on the hot sand feet; hence the slogan of the place " Salome where she danced ". Salome is located in McMullen Valley between the Harquahala Mountains and the Harcuvar Mountains
