Salonia

Salonia lived in the 2nd century BC, was a freed slave and second wife of the Roman politician Marcus Porcius Cato the Elder.

Life

Her father was Salonius a slave and secretary of Cato the Elder. After the death of Cato's first wife Licinia the now freed slave Salonia was the second wife of Cato, who had already been reached at this time a great age.
