Samantha Morton

Samantha Jane Morton ( born May 13, 1977 in Nottingham ) is a British actress and film director.

Morton broke at the age of 13 years and had her schooling from the same year her first television appearances, but only in 1995 was given a bigger role for the mini-series Band of Gold. In 1997, she played Jane Eyre in the eponymous film based on the book by Charlotte Brontë. In 2002, she played one of the Precogs, Agatha, in the film Minority Report. In 2004, she played alongside Johnny Depp in The Libertine.

In 2000 it was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actress in Woody Allen film Sweet and Lowdown and in 2004 for Best Actress in In America. In 2004, she also starred in the film with obsessive love with Daniel Craig and Bill Nighy.

Morton has a daughter from her relationship with actor Charlie Creed -Miles. Father of her second daughter 's Harry Holm, son of actor Ian Holm.

Her debut as a film director was in 2009 with the Morton produced for Channel 4 TV drama The Unloved, for which they co-wrote the screenplay ( with Tony Grisoni ). In 2012 she was shooting for the band The Kills video clip for the song The Last Goodbye. In the same year she was appointed to the jury of the 69th International Film Festival of Venice.
