Samantha Peszek

Samantha Nicole Peszek (born 14 December 1991 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Turner Team at the Olympic Summer Games 2008.

Career

In 2007, she participated with the U.S. team in part at the World Gymnastics Championships and Pan American Games, where she won gold each.

In March 2008, she took part in the America 's Cup. She was third behind their mates Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnsn.

After a solid performance at the national championships in 2008 proved Peszek continue their value to the team in preparation for the Olympics. At the meeting, where she was invited to a selection camp, said the majority of experts, including analysts, they would be in the team. She was then selected during the camp on 19 July 2008. Along with Peszek Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, Chellsie Memmel, Alicia Sacramone and Bridget Sloan were selected for the team.

During the Summer Olympics in 2008, Peszek injured in qualifying. She was the second after the injured Chellsie Memmel itself. After the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing Samantha expressed the desire to continue their elite gymnasts career. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she won the team silver.
