Sammy Angott

Sammy Angott ( born January 16, 1915 in Washington ( Pennsylvania) Samuel Engotti; † 22 October 1980) was an American lightweight boxer who his main title against Lew Jenkins won ( world champion at lightweight ).

Angott began in 1935 to box and won, among other struggles against Davey Day, Lenny Mancini, Allie pride and Ike Williams and lost against, among others Fritzie Zivic and Sugar Ray Robinson, until it in August 1950 with 99 victories, 28 defeats and 8 draws ended his career and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1998.
