Sammy Davis, Sr.

Sammy Davis senior (* December 12, 1900 Wilmington, North Carolina; † 21 May 1988 in Beverly Hills ) was the father of Sammy Davis, Jr. and how this an American singer.

Sammy Davis, Sr. was married to Elvera Sanchez, both worked as a vaudeville dancer. They parted, as Sammy Davis, Jr. was three years old. Sammy Davis, Sr. took care of himself then to his son and took him regularly on his tours. Together with Will Mastin he brought his son with the dancing and the three appeared as Will Mastin Trio on.

Sammy Davis, Sr. also played with in several movies, the most famous of which was The Benny Goodman Story.
