Samuel Zauber

Samuel Magic ( b. 1908 or 1909, † 10 June 1986 in Jerusalem, Israel) was a Romanian football player at the position of the goalkeeper.

Career

Magic began his career at the Jewish Maccabi Bucharest. In 1925 he moved for one season on Isvorul Sportul Bucharest, which was defeated in the relegation matches the rise in the Bucharest district championship Prahova Ploiesti and remained second-rate. Beginning in 1928, playing magic again for Maccabi Bucharest. The most successful year of his club career in 1935: in April Bucharest Maccabi won the football competition at the second Maccabiah Games in Tel Aviv and failed in July as group winners Divizia B only slightly in the rise of games to Divizia A 1935 /36. At the age of 55 years, Magic was in 1964 settled in Israel, where he died in 1986.

National

Magic was nominated for the FIFA World Cup in Uruguay in 1930. There, however, he was not used and only filled the role of the substitute goalkeeper out. Total completed spell in 1931 three caps for Romania. He made his debut on June 28, 1931 against Yugoslavia. He belonged to the victorious Romanian team at the Balkans Cup 1929-31. There he was employed in the away matches against Yugoslavia and Greece.
