San Bernabe AVA

San Bernabe AVA ( recognized since 29 June 2004) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area is located south of the Administrative Region Monterey County. The protected designation of origin is part of the larger Monterey AVA and is defined by the Salinas River and the west by the Santa Lucia Mountains to the east. To the north lies the Pine Canyon and to the south the San Lucas AVA joins. The American Viticultural Area was largely recognized at the instigation of Delicato Family Vineyards, San Bernabe Vineyard are the most important producer in the region with over 2000 hectares of vineyards.
