San Diego is a city in the state of Carabobo in the north of Venezuela.

It is the seat of the district of the same name ( Municipio). San Diego is located northwest of the Valenciasee and is, along with Los Guayos, Naguanagua, Tocuyito and Valencia, part of the metropolitan area of Valencia.

History

The governor of the province of Venezuela said on February 20, 1694 San Diego as the " Indian Village " along with Los Guayos and Guacara. The Indian Rosario was appointed as mayor.

1755 began the licenciado Joseph Manuel de Grezala y Aguirre, priests of the Indians of San Diego and Los Guayos, the construction of the San Diego church.

On 14 January 1994, San Diego, a Parroquia the district of Valencia, the administrative seat of the district of San Diego.
