San Jorge Lake

The Laguna Conguagua (also: Laguna de San Jorge or Laguna San José ) is a lake in the transition region of the two departments of Beni and Santa Cruz in Bolivia.

The Laguna Conguagua lies to the west of the headwaters of the Río Ibaré in the plane of the Llanos de Guarayos seventy kilometers north- northwest of the city Ascención de Guarayos. The lake lies at an altitude of 160 m and extends in length to fifteen kilometers in width up to six kilometers. Its area is 68.6 square kilometers and the perimeter of the lake is 37 kilometers. Administratively belongs to the northern part of the lake to the municipality of San Andrés Marbán the province, the southern part of the municipality of El Puente province Guarayos.

Geography

The Laguna Conguagua is located in the Bolivian lowlands, the climate is semi- humid and characterized by a typical for the tropics balanced temperature curve with only minor fluctuations.
