Sanal Edamaruku

Sanal Edamaruku (* 1955 in Thodupuzha, Kerala ) is an Indian civil rights. He is the founder of Rationalist International and president of the Indian Rationalist Association. He is regarded as a committed atheist.

Life

Sanal Edamaruku is the son of Joseph Edamarukus. At 15, he worked in the International Rationalist Association and later was editor of their house organ Modern Freethinker. He earned his master's degree in 1997 in Political Science ( Political Science ) from the University of Kerala and later in International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. His writings deal critically with the widespread superstition in India.

TV appearance
