Sancti Spíritus Province

Sancti Spiritus is a province in central Cuba. Its capital is the city of Sancti Spiritus. Sugar production and cattle as well as the rice and tobacco cultivation are the most economically important industries in the province. In addition, the tourism industry is becoming increasingly important.

Geography

The Sancti Spiritus province has a total area of ​​6777.28 km ². In the north, the Atlantic Ocean forms a natural border to the west, the province of Ciego de Ávila. The Caribbean joins the south, the provinces of Cienfuegos and Villa Clara to the east and northeast.
