Sandra Klösel

Sandra Klösel ( born June 22, 1979 in Oberkirch, Baden- Württemberg) is a former German tennis player.

Klösel began at the age of eight years with the sport of tennis. In 1995, she became a professional player, 1996, she celebrated in Berlin against the American Nicole Arendt their first win on the ITF level.

In 1999, she reached the U.S. Open as a qualifier for the third time in which it was eliminated against Martina Hingis. 2002 was followed by wins at the ITF tournament in Belfort, Cholet, Taranto, Darmstadt and Hechingen. In her career she won at the ITF Women's Circuit eight singles and six doubles titles. Other successes they had with quarterfinals at the WTA tournament in Fes (2007), Hasselt (2006) and Makarska (1998).

On March 19, 2007, she reached her best world ranking with number 87. Between 2005 and 2007 she had three inserts for the German Fed Cup team.

2009 ended Sandra Kösel her professional career. Since 2010 she works as a naturopath.
