Santa Clara is a town in Franklin County of the U.S. state of New York. In the 2010 census, Santa Clara had 345 inhabitants.

The Town of Santa Clara is located in the southwest of the county, southwest of the Village of Malone and inside the Adirondack Park. It includes the 58 lakes, pools and ponds of the Saint Regis Canoe Area, exactly as the 19-km ² Upper Saranac Lake.

History

The Town of Santa Clara in 1888 formed from part of the Town of Brandon. Eight years later, Santa Clara has been extended by a further land section, divided from Brandon.

William Rockefeller began around 1896 with the purchase of land to create a manor, which was used in the summer months by members of his family.

Geography
