It has 535 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011). and an area of 4 km ². The population density is 134.2 inhabitants / km ². The place is in Fojotal, mainly in the farming is done. Originally, Santa Lucrécia seat of a bishopric Braga belonging Vicariate. Named the community is after the holy Lucretia. The river's name is of Arabic origin and means Algeriz bell or cowbell.
