Saor Patrol

Saor Patrol ( [ ʃo ː ɐ̯ pə -Trol ], dt " freedom Patrol " ) is a Scottish folk band from Kincardine in Scotland.

Mainly the band plays their own pieces. All songs are instrumental and played with the Great Highland Bagpipe, drums and electric guitar. All band members are members of the Clanranald Trust for Scotland, a recognized non-profit organization in Scotland, which would like to receive primarily Scottish culture and Scottish heritage through entertainment and education and spread. This includes a replica of a medieval Scottish village called Duncarron. The revenues of the band are made of this task.

History

Charlie Allan got the idea for this band during the filming of Gladiator After he was self taught learned the bagpipes in 1999., He was looking for musicians, which he found in the ranks of the Clanranald Trust for Scotland. The band has performed in the UK, USA, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Africa, Australia.
