Kincardine

Kincardine ( Scottish Gaelic: Cinn Chàrdainn ) or Kincardine -on- Forth is a small port town of about 3,000 inhabitants on the north coast of the Firth of Forth, in the county Fife in Scotland. It is located approximately 25 km west of Edinburgh.

In 1663 the city was given the status of a Burgh of Barony, which speaks for a certain importance to the river port. In the city still are many buildings that are typical of the Scotland of the 17th, 18th and 19th century, although the city has been greatly changed by the construction of the Kincardine Bridge from 1932-36.

The Kincardine Bridge is located in the south-west of Kincardine. It is an important junction at the mouth of the River Forth.
